Training Program Design

• Defining organizational objectives and planning training development

• Specify business needs, required performance, professional competencies and related skills / knowledge

• Define learning outcomes based on target audience, desired future behavior,  the conditions affecting it and the level of competency necessary (e.g., Bloom Taxonomy)

• Define and align learning outcomes to content

• Define coherent subject matter flow to guide ordering topics

• Create syllabus to document objectives, desired outcomes and topics to assist instructor familiarization

• Scope course content to address learning objectives within time and facility constraints

• Plan presentation techniques to effectively engage audience and achieve learning

• Dry-run design and syllabus with Client / Sponsor

• Select media types (e.g., lecture, case study, practical exercise, role playing, cafe session, etc.)

• Match and develop / adapt media to support syllabus

• Develop and dry-run student knowledge evaluation(s)

• Dry-run course with instructors prior to program launch
