Designed for: those seeking working understanding of EVM data analysis techniques, their application and limits caused by poor planning.
Designed for Audience(s)
Engineers, business analysts, systems analysts and similar professionals with basic experience applying the concepts and principles of Earned Value Management. This course is is designed to an understanding of the objectives and processes used in EVM to develop accurate status of current conditions and analyze them in relation to the approved performance measurement baseline.
Key Things You Will Learn
Processes for collecting and validating actual costs and progress data. Connections between detailed schedule status collection and earned value accumulation. Importance of maintaining connection between quantified backup data, measures of technical achievement, work package completion criteria, earned value and higher level mission and business outcomes. Content and interpretation of standard EVM reporting. Processes and definitions to define variances, trends and corrective action planning. Processes and validation of detailed and summary level estimates to complete and estimates at completion. Process and conventions for maintaining the validity of the performance measurement baseline in an environment of change.
