Executive overview of the unique nature of planning and managing for measurable results. The session covers the strengths and limitations of several critical program and project management methods and systems including Earned Value Management, Critical Path Scheduling, Agile Methodology and Benefits Realization Management

Designed for Audience(s)

Engineers, business analysts, systems analysts and similar professionals with basic experience applying the concepts and principles of Integrated Program Management. This course is is designed to provide a context of IPM from an overall point of view - including how it’s foundation on the Earned Value Management principles can be integrated with complimentary methods for planning and managing outcomes and benefits.

Key Things You Will Learn

Hierarchal relationship of portfolios, programs and projects. Performance measurement versus performance management. Structuring portfolios, programs and projects for: planning and delivering outcomes and benefits, planning and managing budgets and costs, planning and managing milestones and schedules. Brief treatment of integrating Agile and similar dynamic scheduling methodologies with an IPM environment.
